Capcom continues to fuel public interest in Resident Evil Village, the eighth installment of the acclaimed series. According to a post by the franchise’s official Twitter account, the company will hold the second online showcase of the game on April 15. Also, the news site MP1st claims that we will receive a new Village demo during the showcase.
About 10 GB of files that make up the “Gameplay Demo” product were recently added to the Playstation Network‘s database. As the name suggests, this time we will have a look at the game mechanics (the previous Maiden demo didn’t have that as it was focused on the plot).
Capcom did not confirm the information regarding the files, but they did mention “a few surprises” in the show announcement. One of them is likely to be “Gameplay Demo”. It’s also worth mentioning that Maiden was released during the previous showcase.
The demo won’t be the only highlight of the presentation. The developers have announced another trailer and the opportunity to participate in the open beta testing of RE: Verse, a free multiplayer add-on to the game.
Resident Evil Village will release on May 7, 2021, for PC, Playstation 4 and 5, Xbox One and X | S.
