CD Project Red announced that it is finishing up the work on Cyberpunk 2077 and assured players that the release will no longer be rescheduled.
This information was shared by the head of the development team, Piotr Nielubowicz, during the company’s financial video report for the past quarter. Nielubowicz says the game will be released before the next video of this format, and since the report is set to air in December, this is definitely a good sign for players.
At the moment, the Cyberpunk is set to appear in stores on November 19, 2020, and thanks to the developers’ statement, you can believe that we will really be able to enjoy the long-awaited game in the near future (if you don’t take into account the unforeseen circumstances that may “push” the release to several weeks later).
It’s worth noting that the studio has also recently calmed down online concerns about potential in-game microtransactions. The company’s CEO confirmed that single-player part of the game does not contain any purchasable products, you need to pay only once – to buy the Cyberpunk 2077 itself. However, the multiplayer part, which is planned for a separate release, will indeed have microtransactions, but they won’t be “aggressive”. It is possible that the announcement for the end of development from CD Project Red is also aimed at appeasing the masses.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on November 19 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
