Publisher IO Interactive has announced that the new “Hitman” title will be exclusive to the Epic Store platform on PC for one year after the release. Also, a new trailer for the game has been published, showing a new location.
The decision to delay publication on the Steam, the most popular online video game store, is caused by the fact that Hitman III will be the first title in the series to be self-published by the company. This way, IO Interactive hopes to strengthen its position as an independent developer.
It is important to note that such exclusivity is temporary, and Steam users will be able to download the product, but just a little later than others. Also, developers announced the ability to transfer the progress from Hitman II to the new game, even if it was saved on Steam. Another revelation is that the first game in the series will be available for free download on August 23 – September 3.
